Ars et Studium is an accredited society of amateur artists which has been giving lessons in drawing, painting, water colours, and clay modelling since 1973. In 2004 the society started to give lessons for children. All the lessons are taught by qualified and enthusiastic artists. Both beginners and experienced artists can participate in lessons in portrait drawing and painting, still lifes, clay modelling, and mixed techniques. The lessons are given in Dutch, but all the teachers speak English where necessary.

In addition to the weekly lessons, the society holds exhibitions of members work, outings can be organised, and workshops are given.

You really don’t have to be an accomplished artist to become a member of Ars et Studium. Do you already have some experience? Take the opportunity to get new inspiration or improve your technique. If you’re a complete beginner, this is your chance to begin without ballast, and surprise yourself with what you can achieve.
